WORKING WITH THE STUDIO
The studio’s design services are created with flexibility and affordability in mind; good design is for everyone and every home. You can work with me on an hourly basis, by room or by house.
The studio is based in Hertfordshire, but I am available to work on projects across the UK, on an in-person or a virtual basis. I’m a team of one, so you’ll always be dealing with me personally.
The studio offers design advice to homeowners via hourly consultations or via whole room or whole house design packages.
The best way to learn more is to book a free initial consultation.
SERVICES

The On-Demand Design Package offers clients design advice by the hour. Think of this like troubleshooting for interiors.
Consultations can be booked on an hourly basis, and take place either in-person or virtually according to your preferences.*
The On-Demand Design Package is perfect for those looking for professional interiors advice on a more limited basis, either due to the scale of their project or budget or because they are willing to take on more of the work themselves.
During design consultations we can consider space planning, lighting design, decoration, colour choices, furniture and upholstery choices, window treatments, joinery design and project management queries, as well as many other interiors queries.
It is your consultation, and we will focus on whatever will be most valuable for you.
As part of this service line, I can also provide interiors related advice to house hunters. I can accompany you on house viewings, to provide design advice prior to and during a purchase.
The studio can also assist with staging homes for sale or rental.
Ahead of your first consultation, I will ask you to book a short Initial Enquiry Call or complete a brief questionnaire. This is so that I can understand some more details about your project and assess the best way to provide you with the advice you need.
Design consultations start at £150 for your first booking. This allows for 2 hours design work in total, including preparation.
The format of each booking will vary, depending on whether you need more or less in-person or written advice. We'll work this out during your initial enquiry call and via the questionnaire, and we'll make sure that the way we proceed works for you. I'll set this out for you in your fee proposal, in advance of you making any payments.
Subsequent bookings are charged at £75 per hour. This hourly rate is only available to repeat customers.
In-person appointments outside of the local area (15-minute drive) may need to include a cost for travel; this will be clearly set out in your fee proposal.
Virtual appointments are available for those clients who would prefer to meet online, and work well for many homeowners using this service.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Great design has an amazing power to transform our spaces, but also the way we feel and function within them. A well-designed home can bring joy, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
Whether it's maximising natural light, creating exceptional storage, or incorporating personalised touches, great design can transform our daily experiences and enhance our quality of life.
As an interior designer, I strive to create spaces that inspire and uplift us every day. Whether via small tweaks or stunning transformations, I truly believe that great design can change lives and that design advice should be accessible to everyone.
I founded Rosie Oulton & Co with the mission of bringing transformative affordable interior design to everyday homes.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
“My favourite designs bring together perfect function with timeless, beautiful form, in a way which is truly personalised to the client’s vision and needs.
I always focus on the humans at the centre of the story. The completed space should always be beautiful, but it should also work beautifully for its owner and their specific needs.
Away from the studio, you’ll find me pottering in the garden, sketching or sewing, or walking with Lola, our miniature dachshund and the ‘Co’ in the studio’s name.”
I began my career in residential estate agency in 2009. Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in French and Spanish and a MSc in Real Estate, I moved into the commercial sector in 2012. I qualified as a Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2014. I have spent the past 12 years designing, developing and managing commercial and residential real estate projects across Europe.
Most recently, I followed a life-long dream to formalise my experience in interior design, enrolling to study Residential Interior Design at KLC School of Design. I launched the studio in 2023.
Today, I’m able to bring my breadth of professional experience, my people-centric vision, and my passion for interiors to my design work in the residential sector, working with homeowners on their projects, large or small, across the UK.
Over 15 years in the property industry.
Extensive professional network including access to trade-only suppliers and manufacturers.
